Guidelines and tools for heritage property owners
Owners of heritage properties often have specialised information needs. Caring for a heritage listed property can be a wonderful but sometimes challenging experience. Feedback from property owners has identified that having access to good quality information is an important starting point and knowing where to go for assistance makes the job of being a steward a much easier one. This list of resources has been collated because they address a wide range of common topics which heritage property owners are likely to seek information about.
Each state and territory has different arrangements, legislation and requirements for the care of heritage places in their jurisdictions. The information found here is presented by geographical location, by state or territory. It is a good idea to start your information search by clicking on the link to the state or territory in which your property is located. Publications from other states may also be of interest and contain valuable information, however, it is important to remember that regulatory approvals processes will differ between jurisdictions.
